When using certificates on Site Management, it is necessary to use Unit Types to assign certificates to relevant sites. Keep in mind, sites are called units in INEXTIA, hence Unit Types. A Unit Type can be associated with a Certification Group, where a Certification Group can either be encapsulating:
- certificates relevant to a specific site
- an category of certificates, which can be assigned to all relevant sites
When a certificate is created initially together with its certificate group, it is only available to the office site. To make it appear for the different sites, there first needs to be created a Unit Type. This can be found under the Units Menu.
In this example a Unit Type called Bioplant is created, which is meant for sites that use biological waste to generate energy. Press New Unit Type.
Finish by pressing Create.
Now this Unit Type has to be affiliated with a site. Go to the Unit Screen under the Unit Menu, and select the unit that needs to be of the newly created Unit Type. Edit the unit by clicking the pencil, and select the Unit Type.
Now the certificate groups can be associated with the newly created Unit Type, and certificates will then be available to the unit.
Go to the Certificate Group Screen under the Certificates Menu and select the certificate group that was created for your certificates, or if this does not already exist create a new certificate group. In the bottom of the certificate group notice that there is a field for Unit Types. In here, select the Unit Type that was just created.
After this, all certificates that are added to this certificate group is available to the units of the unit type that was created. In this example, certificates added to the SAFE certificate group is now available to the BIO unit type.
