In INEXTIA, these are called Roles and can be used to grant all users with a specific role the following:
- Access to specific dashboards.
- Access to view certain forms (confidentiality).
- Access to approve specific forms (approval).
A user can be assigned multiple roles, but a role can only be linked to one user group.
It is not necessary to associate a user group with a role. However, it can be useful, for example, if an administrator wants to log in as a regular user to view INEXTIA from their perspective.
The usergroup of a role overwrites the user's normal usergroup.
Parent role
A role can also be linked to a parent role. The base role serves as the higher-level role in a hierarchical sense. For example, a supervisor would typically be the base role for an operator, as the supervisor has more responsibilities and permissions.
Multiple roles
If a user is assigned multiple roles, they will be prompted to choose which role they want to log in as upon login.
A role can be associated with a specific user group, granting it special user permissions in INEXTIA. This can, for example, be useful if a user needs to log in with different levels of access rights.
