It is possible to rotate components in INEXTIA. This can be useful when a component needs to be taken out of the maintenance cycle and replaced by another component.
Rotating components are typically parts of machinery for which one or more spare components are available. In INEXTIA, components can be activated and deactivated, corresponding to active components and spare components.
Example
- Job 1 is a maintenance job for Component 1.
- Component 1 is rotated with Component 2.
- This replaces Component 1 with Component 2 on Job 1.
INEXTIA example
In this example, "1.01 - Machine 1" is rotated with "1.02 - Machine 2".
- Select the tree structure from the side menu.
- Select the component you want to rotate.
- Select Component from the main menu and then select "Rotate Components" from the pop-up menu.
In the pop-up menu, you can search for a component under "SEARCHING":
- Search for the component.
- Select the component.
- Click "Select".
Alternatively, you can select a component from the tree structure:
- Click "TREE STRUCTURE".
- Find and select the required component.
- Click "Select".
Machine 1 on the maintenance job has now been replaced by Machine 2.
"1.02 - Machine 2" retains its position in the tree structure but now has all the jobs and subcomponents that were previously associated with "1.01 - Machine 1", and vice versa.
