Note: Job relations is an optional module available for purchase in INEXTIA.
For certain tasks, such as lubrication or calibration, it’s common to need to visit multiple components.
Normally, this raises a decision: Create a single job for a general component, or create multiple independent jobs for each specific component.
Neither option is ideal as a general job doesn’t log the job history on individual components, and independent jobs require separate handling for each component.
The Job Relations module addresses this issue by allowing you to perform one job while still logging history for all related components.
Main Job
The main job is the single job executed when completing the task across multiple components. This job appears in the job list and includes the sequence for visiting each component.
The job is created similarly to other jobs, with the key difference being a checkmark placed in the "Main Job" option.
The main job is placed on a general component (grouping), which is common for all the components that require work.
Related Jobs
Related jobs are those placed on the specific components where the work needs to be performed.
These jobs can be referred to as "pseudo" jobs because they are not visible in the job list as regular jobs but are instead part of the main job.
Related jobs can be created as new jobs when the main job is created, or existing jobs can be linked under a main job. (Note: if existing jobs are used, the frequency of those jobs will be overwritten by the main job's frequency).
Create Related Job
A related job is created in almost the same way as a regular job.
What makes it special in INEXTIA is that it has a reference to a main job.
The frequency should not be set on the job, as it inherits the frequency from the main job.
To assist in creating related jobs, an extra button is shown on the main job.
When this button is used, INEXTIA prepares a new job with a reference to the main job.
The only thing left to select is which component should be included in the job/round, as well as any required fields that have been set up.
