Note: Job Sequence is an add-on module for INEXTIA.
Job sequence is used when there is a need for INEXTIA to automatically switch between different types of maintenance to be performed on a component. For example, this could involve switching between a small inspection and a large inspection.
Create Sequence
Before jobs can be added to a sequence, they must first be created in INEXTIA. Start by creating the jobs for the component in the usual way.
A job must be created for each type of maintenance that needs to be alternated. (There is no need to set the frequency for these jobs, as it will be set/overwritten based on the sequence).
Once the jobs are created, they can be grouped into a sequence in the job sequence screen.
When a new job sequence is created, the following is specified:
- Number and name (description).
- The component where the jobs that will be placed in the sequence are located.
- A start date or start value for the first job in the sequence.
- Whether INEXTIA should automatically restart the sequence once all jobs in the sequence have been completed.
Once the component is selected, the jobs that will be part of the sequence are inserted.
- Search for the jobs.
- Specify how long after the previous job this job should be executed. Two frequency types can be selected: Calendar and counter. (For the first job, the setup will only be relevant if the sequence is set to repeat).
- If the jobs are not inserted in the correct order, the order can be adjusted. Continue adding jobs to the sequence until all shifts are covered (it is allowed to add the same job multiple times).
Calculation of the Next Date
When the sequence is saved (created), INEXTIA calculates a new next date for all the jobs included in the sequence.
The first job in the sequence gets the next date directly from the start date. If the frequency type is counter frequency, the next date for the job will be calculated from the start value.
All jobs in the sequence will be displayed in the job list with a calculated next date, so they can be planned accordingly. However, only the next job in the sequence can be executed.
Each time a job from the sequence is executed, the next date for the subsequent jobs is recalculated.
If the sequence is set to repeat, earlier jobs in the sequence will also be recalculated.
