Meters are used similarly to counters to record readings that can influence jobs.
Unlike counters, meters can fluctuate in value, whereas counters can only increase. For instance, while counters are used to track production hours, cycles, driven kilometers, etc., meters are instead used for tracking temperature, pressure, RPMs, etc.
When a counter is used for jobs, it relates to planned maintenance - meaning INEXTIA can predict in advance when a job is expected to be performed.
With meters, the focus is on condition-based maintenance, meaning INEXTIA doesn’t know in advance when a job will need to be performed. However, if a meter reading exceeds a threshold, the job becomes open.
Meters are created on the Measurement screen.
Connection with Jobs
The connection between a job and a meter is established through the meter frequency.
